Manna Design Works named Best in Biz 2012 as a South Jersey Web Design Firm.

We are very excited to announce Manna Design Works has been named Best in Biz 2012 for the Web Development category by the South Jersey Biz Magazine.

Manna was among 75 local businesses and organizations from the southern half of New Jersey to be honored in the August edition of the magazine.  The selection was based on professional achievement, reputation, community involvement, quality of work and related indicators.

In addition to making the list, we were also fortunate in that the editors choose to write a little extra about our firm…

One of the biggest transformations going on in South Jersey is the creation of Rowan Boulevard in Glassboro. When the borough needed a new website that would link the developments together for residents, visitors, business owners and potential tenants alike, they turned to Manna Design Works.
“As the marketing firm for the borough, we were part of a very talented team that had to develop a site (DowntownGlassboro.com) for multiple types of users,” says Robert Harrington, president of Manna Design Works. “Our goal with the site is to develop it in such a way that each target audience feels like they’re in a site speaking just to them.”
Launched in 2002, Manna Design Works is a full-service NJ web design, graphic design and creative marketing firm based in Glassboro, New Jersey, a company that is always looking for the “delicate balance” between what a client wants and what the professional feels they need. Harrington says while a client may come in thinking they need a new website, it could just be a robust e-mail marketing campaign or some other form of advertising they need.
“We’re not designing to win awards; we don’t recommend solutions because it’s the latest idea on the market,” Harrington says. “We’re working to help our clients achieve their goals.”

While we praise all of this year’s winners and thank  South Jersey Biz Magazine for the honor, we would like to take an extra moment to congratulate a few special awardees…

South Jersey Federal Credit Union – Not only have they been a fantastic client for over 7 years, through 3 web designs, a complete corporate re-branding  and countless hours of monthly web maintenance, Robert Harrington, the owner of Manna has the privilege of serving on the Executive Board of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce with the SJFCU’s CEO Benjamin Griffith.  For 10 years, they have worked together with the board pushing the chamber to grow and prosper.

Bellia’s Office Furniture, Rowan University, Columbia Bank and Astro Sign Company made the list;  Tom Bellia, Joe Cardona with Rowan, Mark Schott of Columbia and Chris Painter with Astro all sit on the Board of Directors of the Gloucester County Chamber and are considered valued business associates.  “Aside from the personal satisfaction of making the list,” says Robert,” it’s absolutely fantastic that 6 of the chamber’s 21 Board Members have been identified as the Best in Biz in their respective fields.  The chamber should be proud of being so well represented;  especially considering the awards cover several counties of South Jersey, not just Gloucester.  As the past Chairman of the Board, I have always felt that we have the best directors in the region for a chamber of commerce or any non-profit.  This news of 6 winning Best in Biz just confirms it.”

Stout and Caldwell Engineers & Surveyors is the final awardee we’d like to specially mention.   Dan Caldwell and Robert have sat on the Board of Trustees of the Southern NJ Development Council together and are good friends.  Stout & Caldwell has been a great client of Manna’s for many years.
