GC Hero is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the families of first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty. The organization was established in 1995 after it was found there was no financial support structure in place to assist the families of emergency personnel injured or killed while serving in Gloucester County. Today, GC Hero focuses on three different charitable aspects. Providing help with medical expenses of a line of duty death, assisting those with a prolonged absence from occupation due to extended recovery, and assisting the children of personnel killed in the line of duty to continue on to college.
